Different Between You & Me..

Filed under: Malaysia, Motivation, Poem, Politics, Religion, World, World Peace — johnnytan88 @ 8:51 pm

Yes, I am angry

Yes, I am jealous

Yes I am envy

Because you are getting more than me

All the benefits were given to you

Buy house at the discount rates

Enter University without a good grade

Job is waiting for you when you graduate

But I am grateful

I am thankful

I am pleased

Because I know I am more capable than you

All the benefits that you get

It motivates me to strive more

It makes me more proud of myself

It makes me want to achieve more

I am just a human

I have these two hands to reach

I have these two legs to walk

I don’t have to depend on anybody

I don’t have to beg to nobody

I do love everybody

HINDRAF: Many have been brain-washed..

Filed under: General, Malaysia, Politics, Religion, World, World Peace — Tags: , , — johnnytan88 @ 4:56 pm

I really had a good discussion with my friend during lunch. We spoke about Hindraf issue and to my unbelievable surprised that he still thinks that what Hindraf does for the Indian is right.

I asked him to look around him, he got a good job, able to drive a nice car and own a nice house & what are the things that still make him feel uncomfortable about Malaysia.

Well he explained to me that he is one of the 2% Indian that fortunate enough to be able to enjoy all these privilege. He told me that there are still 6% of India out there has been marginalizing by the government.

I asked him why he blamed the government. Why can Indian stand with their own two feet and make it by their own without blaming others for their less fortunate. He can’t answer me. He told me to talk to one of my company manager who is also in this Hindraf deeply.

I told him that they have been brain-washed. I told him that we should help the Indian because we are the fortunate ones. How can we blame the government for the alcoholism, domestic violence because of our own doing?

I told him that if the Indian have been marginalizing, I don’t think we are able to sit down on these table and have our launch peacefully.

Look at the US, the Negro (I hope I do not offense anybody by using the word) are also been marginalize? How about India, the caste? Have you ever think about that? I hope that we should spread Love rather than hate into the people minds.

Even if we have been marginalizing, we always know that good will always overcome by evil. The word from Jesus “Love your enemy”, is really make sense now. (By the way, I am not a Christian).

We should help others irregardless color or race. When I was a kid, my parents never told me that I only can make friends with the Chinese. My parents told me to make friends.

I pray for world peace everyday. I don’t know if God really listen to my prayers but I do hope that one day we can actually say that “We made the right decision together”.

Thank you for all the comments and critics in this blog regarding about HINDRAF.

Many have written in and give their point of view.

As I said early in my other article, I am not a politician nor interested in politic.

The reasons I write because I am interested in the issue have been created today in our world and so does others.

I must admit when I first heard about HINDRAF from my friends, it was really interesting talking about our rights. They were so convincing that their rights have been taken away. And I still can recall one of them told me that they have a copy of declaration of independents that shows that the rights of their people have been taken away. But when I asked for that copy, it never did reach me.

When the protest happened, thank God I was in India or else I would have joined my friends blindly to the protest and end up in of the jail. I stupidly thought that it was going to be cool.

When I was in India, I read all about what was going on in Malaysia in the newspaper. Most in the newspaper here have been giving a very negative side of Malaysia during the HINDRAF issue. I was really sad at that time.

It was also a good time for me to sit down and think about the truth on HINDRAF allegations. At the end, I thought about writing the article in my website and hoping that others will write in and share their point of views.

To my surprise, it hit more that 1000 on that day.

Many comments were given, good and bad but still I read it with an open mind.

Too many news about hate have been published in the news. We have been forgotten about the good things that we have in our country. We were not satisfied because we could not get more. We forgot how to share. We start to make comparison but we forget about the simple rule of life that is love.

HINDRAF: Malaysia Indians have achieved much, more needed..

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Malaysian Indians have achieved progress in various fields over the last 50 years, although more needs to be done to make them competitive in the face of globalised realities, MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said here.

He said more than 80% of them were concentrated in urban areas compared to 60% that previously lived and worked in the estates.

“This migration has provided better incomes for the Indian families,” he said in a statement Sunday.

He said 847,900 Indians were in the workforce currently, 11.5% of them professionals and managers, 19.4% associated professors, lecturers and nurses, 22.9% in sales, 4.9% in agriculture, 9.4% in craft and trade, 20.1% of them machine operators and 16.3% elementary workers.

Samy Vellu said about 2.9% of Indian households were below the poverty line but the mean monthly household income of Indian families was RM3,456, compared to the national figure of RM3,022.

He said 46,054 Indians were employed in the public sector with another 3,642 in the police force.

On the participation of Indians in the economy, Samy Vellu said there was a slow increase in the present 1.2% ownership of share capital of limited companies because many Indians believed in investing in property and not in the share market.

“Investing in property is also a good move as the price of property will appreciate,” he said.

He said MIC obtained micro-credit business loans for 4,000 Indian businessmen over the past few years through Bank Negara and financial institutions.

“We have also assisted in getting business licences for Indian businessmen,” he said.

Samy Vellu said the Government provided business-training programs to Indian youths through the National Entrepreneur Skills institute while RM3mil has been allocated for business loans for Indians through the Tekun foundation.

On education, he said 2,447 Indians were offered places in public universities in the 2007 intake.

HINDRAF: No to fanatics..

LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA: Be prepared to face the consequences - this is the warning given by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), which he described as an extremist group.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the group would be subjected to the same law that had been taken against other militant, extremist and fanatic groups.

  • India has distanced itself from the group after the Government said it had links with terrorist organisations.
  • MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu says the Prime Minister has the absolute right to invoke the Internal Security Act (ISA) against Hindraf leaders.
  • The Government must carry out thorough investigations into the activities of Hindraf, Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein says.

    HINDRAF: Abdullah smals genocide claim..

Filed under: Malaysia, Politics, Religion, World, World Peace — johnnytan88 @ 12:01 pm

PENANG, MALAYSIA: If Malaysia practised genocide or apartheid, half the Cabinet would not be filled with non-Muslims, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.

“When Hindraf said we carried out genocide, its allegation was a sign of evil. Please think about the Cabinet.

“Half of it is non-Malays, non-Umno members and non-Muslims,” he said at a press conference at the IMT-GT SME Conference & Expo 2007 here yesterday.

He said the Cabinet would not follow the Government if such atrocities were being practised.

“You think they (the Cabinet) would go with the government and allow themselves to be associated with it? Tak masuk akal (This does not make sense),” he said, referring to a front-page article in a foreign newspaper that claimed Malaysia was practising apartheid against Hindus.

Abdullah said only those who did not know the real situation would be hoodwinked.

The Prime Minister also expressed concern over the slew of rumours via SMS that could bring discord to the country.

“When the country gets into trouble, who will win or benefit? Nobody,” he said.

Abdullah said that instead it would affect the economy and “that is why we need to consciously guard the peace in the country.”

“We must always ensure that our relationship (between each other) is well and we must always be united,” he emphasised.

Abdullah said that based on his experience as the former Foreign Minister, he found that the international community did not understand the political situation in Malaysia and they often had a wrong perception on Malaysian politics.

“They don’t really understand the power-sharing concept practised by the Barisan Nasional Government because such cooperation of political parties has never worked and existed in their countries,” he said.

    HINDRAF’s allegations untrue, says Karpal..

Filed under: Malaysia, Politics, Religion, World, World Peace — johnnytan88 @ 12:46 pm

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Allegations by the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) that the Government was carrying out ethnic cleansing and had committed atrocities against Indians in Malaysia are baseless and untrue, said lawyer Karpal Singh.

He said he felt surprised that Hindraf leaders would make such charges and hoped that they would be more responsible when uttering such statements.

He said the manner in which Hindraf’s rally on Nov 25 was carried out was not right.

Karpal Singh said the problems of the Indians had not properly been addressed but that the protest gathering had not been properly organised and that “there should not have been any violence involved.”

The DAP national chairman and Bukit Glugor MP, however, said that the DAP was supportive of peaceful demonstrations and questioned the need for permits.

Opposition Leader Lim Kit Siang (DAP – Ipoh Timur) said at a press conference at the Parliament lobby yesterday that the Cabinet should set up a special task force headed by the Prime Minister to resolve the problems faced by the Indians.

“The Cabinet should come out with a new policy for a new deal to end this,” he said.

“The number of Indians in the civil service has also plunged in the past 34 years, from 17.4% in 1971 to 5.12% in 2005,” he added.
