Ai Yo Yo!, Kadavalai! Eh, I also saw one bugger hawker throw in a bag of straws into the hot oil. I saw this in Malacca. I was looking from my hotel window with binoculors across to another hotel windows to see if there is any “hot action” going on. You know lah what goes on in hotel rooms. But on this day, my luck was not so good, so I turned my attention to the street stalls below. Thats when I spotted it. The pundai was throwing straws into the hot oil. At first, I did not realise it, but looked closer and true lah, he was doing that. Until now I don’t know we can eat plastik. Eh not sure about this one lah.
